Anne of Green Gables: Prince Edward Island, Canada
June 16th - 20th, 2025
Next June, pilgrims will gather in a small group on Prince Edward Island, Canada to embark on a beloved Anne of Green Gables pilgrimage. Led by author and podcaster Casper ter Kuile, pilgrims on this trip will examine L.M. Montgomery’s Anne of Green Gables through the theme of friendship. In Cavendish, pilgrims will visit all the must-see landmarks that anchor readers in Anne's world, including the family home on which Lucy Maud Montgomery modeled Anne’s titular farmhouse. Exploring the beautiful surrounding coasts, forests, and farmland on daily hikes, pilgrims will have the opportunity to rekindle the magic of Anne's world with some everyone-friendly and entirely optional community singing and dancing!
The small group of pilgrims will dive into deep conversation about the art of friendship: how to cultivate "bosom-friendships,” how to navigate the hurt of lost or broken friendships, and how to return to the enduring, hopeful promise that friendship offers in a world on fire. Every day will include long walks, meaningful conversation, delicious and nourishing meals, and a commitment to thinking deeply about how Anne of Green Gables has called us all to the island. Surrounded by kindred spirits, we will have a chance to celebrate this remarkable book and reflect on the hope it offers to all.

PRICING/LOGISTICS:
The full tuition of the trip is $5,475, private room only.
We will meet in Charlottetown in early afternoon of June 16th and end programming in Charlottetown late morning of June 20th. Specific meeting time and location will be privately offered to pilgrims upon registration and payment.
Each pilgrim is responsible for handling their own travel expenses and arrangements prior to our meeting on June 16th and after we say goodbye on June 20th.
Common Ground Flight Recommendation: Because Charlottetown Airport is quite small, it is not uncommon for air traffic control to redirect planes bound for the island to major airports in inclement weather. If possible, we highly recommend that pilgrims make arrangements to arrive in Charlottetown the night of June 15th so there are no complications in meeting up on the afternoon of June 16th.
ACTIVITY LEVEL (LEISURELY, MODERATE, OR CHALLENGING)
We rate this trip’s activity level as moderate: We will walk up to 8 miles each day. The weather in this Canadian province is warm and pleasant in the summer; however, we will walk come rain or shine, and we recommend that pilgrims prepare for the possibility of black flies during the wooded walks. We won’t rush our hikes, but we expect to be tired at the end of each day.
Registration Process
We offer a two-installment payment plan for this trip (more details below).
People who have attended another Common Ground pilgrimage will receive a 5% discount on the cost of the trip (even with a payment plan!).
Once you register, spots are offered on a first come, first served basis.
Within three business days of your registration, we will send you a link to complete your payment for the trip. You will then have 48 hours to fulfill payment and officially reserve your spot.
If you cannot fulfill payment or if we do not hear back from you within 48 hours, we will offer the spot to the next registrant on the list until all the spots are full.
At that point, we will notify any remaining registrants that they are now on our waitlist for this trip: if a spot opens up, we will offer it in order, from the earliest to most recent registrant, until it is claimed.
If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to our team at commonground@notsorryproductions.com.
